Sad Lovers and Giants is a tale for adults.
When Crystal stopped listening to rap, and started getting back into R'n'b she found new influences in Jeff Buckley, Cocteau Twins, Massive Attack… which caused her music to glide from soul to slick pop and scuzzy rock.
To achieve this transition, she has surrounded herself with Kyu Steed, an eclectic profile capable of collaborating with both Amaarae and Booba, Elliot Berthault (from post-punk band Rendez-vous) who encouraged her to embark on the path of hyperpop, Blessed, and Ouri Riou, “a fairy” who also lent her voice to some tracks.
